Wonderland uses an automated attendance calling system. Families of students who are absent or tardy will receive two automated attendance calls a day. The first call is sent in the morning, based on the attendance information in the system as of 9:30 a.m. The second call is sent in the evening, based on the data in the system at 3:30 p.m.
In most instances, an automated attendance call will be made whenever your child is tardy or absent from school. For example, even if you call the school to inform the staff that your child will be out ill that day, a call will be generated.
Our goal at Wonderland is to achieve 97% attendance or higher and to reduce the high numbers of tardies that we experience on a daily basis. It is our belief that timeliness and good attendance are critical factors in high student achievement.
